Guess The Mystery Thing: Theater In The Round

Hiya!  Welcome to a spanking new Guess The Mystery Thing challenge.  (New around here?  It's my giveaway guessing game, and everyone is invited to play.)

Take a peek at this berry cute statement ring, made with a spray of vintage holly berries.  I think they look so pretty against the white.

This flowery one is less dramatic, but even something as simple as a plastic fleur can gain importance, when set onstage.

Your challenge: identify that mysterious white platform.  What is that thingamajig?  Looks soooo familiar, doesn't it?

First person to guess correctly will receive a fabulous prize!  (Namely, one of these purty rings.)

How it works: leave your guess in the comments.  There'll be two winners: first correct guess and a random winner.  That's right, I said random winner - so even if you don't know (or think someone else already got it), you could still win.  If your guess is funny, it might make my Most Creative Honor Roll.

This giveaway is open to anyone, anywhere.  C'mon, join in!

THE ONE AND ONLY RULE

1. UNLESS YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IS ONE CLICK AWAY IN AN ONLINE PROFILE, PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS WITH YOUR GUESS.

Ready?  Set!  Guess the Mystery Thing!

UPDATE: THIS CHALLENGE IS NOW CLOSED.  THANKS SOOO MUCH FOR PLAYING, EVERYONE!  CHECK MY NEXT POST FOR THE THRILLING REVEAL...

  3. Wow..your readers really keep their teeth clean! Kudos! I think it's a dental floss spool, too. I just broke my Colgate Floss open to look. You know..we can guess the brand to make it more interesting. Or we can be wrong. I think Barbie took a dive from her Unicycle and lost her teeth and never needed to use floss again.

  6. Mh... one of these double side plastic buttons? They were quite often used in the past for bed linen or curtains which had to be nearly cooked during washing.

  10. I suspect Michele answered correctly, but if now, then a plastic sewing bobbin. If I'm wrong, then you stole the stages from theaters in the round all over Lilliput. Shame on you! Denapage at gmail.com

  12. I'm going out on a limb with this, I just bought a 97 Caddy last week and it has a tape deck! After looking high n low, I only found one cassette, Big Shiny Tunes 6 from 2001!!! Ah, memories, lol! Then seeing these today, it was the first thing to pop into my head... My guess is they are the 2 spools from inside an old cassette tape!!!

  15. I'm gonna say the little bobbin from a plastic tatting shuttle! It looks like the same proportions as the metal one I have, at least.
