Guess the Mystery Thing: Exclamation Points!!!!!!!

Oh, yay, time for a new game of Guess the Mystery Thing!  The challenge is simple: if you are the first smartypants to guess the secret of this upcycled necklace, you win one!  Ready?  Let's play.
Look - exclamation points!!!!

The 'dots' are crystal drops from an antique chandelier.  But what are those odd exclamatory oblongs on top?  They are something very specific.  Hmmm...

I'm fairly sure someone will guess this.  I am already preparing to be schooled.  Spanked.  Humiliated.  Trounced.  *sigh.*  You guys are just too good.

How it works: leave your guess in the comments.  There will be two winners: first correct guess, and a random winner.  That's right, I said random winner - so even if you don't know (or think someone else already got it), enter anyway, you could still win.  And if your guess is funny, it might make my Most Creative Honor Roll.

This giveaway is open to anyone, anywhere.  C'mon and join in!  There is only one rule.

THE ONE AND ONLY RULE

1. UNLESS YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IS ONE CLICK AWAY IN AN ONLINE PROFILE, PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS WITH YOUR GUESS.  (Fun fact: if you only THINK your email is visible in your profile, it probably isn't.  Go in there and make sure, okay?  Nothing's sadder than a winner disqualified for no contact info!)

Okay, here goes.  On your marks...get set...GUESS THE MYSTERY THING!

UPDATE: THIS CHALLENGE IS NOW CLOSED.  THANKS FOR PLAYING, EVERYBODY!

  6. Fairy wings from stodgy old unhip fairies, the colours are an easy give away. Only fairies wear purple and these rectangular ones are definitely for old squares...

  7. Hmm, I think they're petrified pieces of blueberry Dentyne gum. You stamped a little design in them just to throw us off track.

  8. Now this one, I don't know. I'm guessing the end of a plastic butter knife. Or, taking a page from your previous objects, it might be a gynecological scraper made for mermaids. Y'know, nice swirly shell-like texture, "it's better down where it's wetter", all of that.

  9. They are the front portion of eyeglass arms....sides or what ever they are called.

  10. They are either Barbie or My Little Pony brushes. I want to play with my old ponies now. Note to self: ransack my parents' basement tomorrow.

  15. My first thought was handles of kiddy kitchen utensils. I know that's an awkward description, but "plastic silverware" is a bit of an oxymoron. However, so many folks think they are mini doll hairbrush handles. hmmmmmmmmm. The problem is that both answers seem WAY too easy. oh, well. tsatskeh@aol.com

  19. I agree with Mandiferous I thin they are the handles from toothbrushes

  20. They're not My Little Pony hairbrushes. They're stamped wax. But remember Icarus. If you wear this to your birthday party, the heat of the candles as you lean over to blow them out will melt your necklace, bringing shame to you. Much easier to cope with than the death the sun's heat brought Icarus, but still, not something to take lightly. Consider yourself cautioned.

  29. Having read all the comments thus far, I hasten to declare that these are most certainly NOT the end of Barbie doll brushes or spoon handles, but rather... um... the covers of some rather floofy memory sticks which I'm quite certain they have down there in LA though I admit I've never seen up here in Canada as we are a much more conservative bunch...

  30. Unchewed stale gum, carved of course.

  31. Obviously they're the handles to a fairy's silverware set. Shame on you. Some fairy is going to have to eat with their fingers & you know how much they hate that. ;)

  32. I'm a barbie girl, in the barbie world
    Life in plastic, it's fantastic!
You used to brush my hair,
    But not anymore
    Mich has broken them apart
    into charms that we adore.
    Now my hair;'s a mess
But at least I have a dress.
    Imagination, life is your creation
Come on Barbie, let's go party!

  34. I have NO IDEA what they are, but I'm starting to think that the Barbie brush is winning as per your "guessers". :) Since you posted this on my birthday, I'm sure I'll be the random winner. LOL! I hope so, anyway.

  35. ARGH, I just *know* I have held one of these in my hand but I can't put my finger on it. Argh!

I feel like it's something from the hairbrush section, but I don't know...a comb handle?
