Guess the Mystery Thing: oh, gosh, let's do an easy one!

Hi, everybody!  It's time once again for that very popular feature, Guess the Mystery Thing and Win Because Whoohooooo I Just Noticed I Have 250 Followers and I Thought I Would do a Plain Vanilla Giveaway in Honor of All You Crazy Nuts but Everyone Seems to Love the Mystery Thing Game So I'll Make You Guess But It's Gonna be Easy So It's Pretty Much Like a Regular Giveaway but Funner.

Guess the Mystery Thing for short.

I made these pendants.

What are they?

I know you know.

There will be two winners: first correct guess and a random winner chosen by my Patented High-Tech Cutting-Edge Randomizer Program (my mom picks a number).

The prizes:  your choice of one of these pendants, or a $20 gift certificate toward any item in ye olde Etsy shoppe.

The rules:

1. Open to anyone, anywhere.  (You don't even have to be a follower of the blog, although I would lurve it if you were!)
2. If your email isn't available to me in one click from an online profile, please include your email address with your guess.

One last peeky:

Okay, people - Guess the Mystery Thing!!!!

UPDATE: THIS CHALLENGE IS NOW CLOSED.  THANKS, EVERYBODY!

  1. It's never easy or what I think it is but I'm going to go with chess pieces?!

  2. Oh, I forgot my email address! It's nekomancyplush at gmail dot com.

  3. They are pawns from a chess game - thus the white pieces - they start the game of chess - and the black pieces... They are glued bottom to bottom... something they, as opponents, would never do in real life!
You're right! It was easy and fun!

  4. I think little (plastic) chess pawns... What a cool idea! Did you drill into the top parts?

  5. What a wonderful idea to use chess pieces! Have you use any others besides the pawns? Maybe use a mini chess set and make matching earrings? So many possibilities!

  11. Yep, chess pieces would be my guess as well. Love how they look!

  12. Chess pieces - PAWNS to be exact! Plastic ones! And you probably took the little green felt thingies off the bottom! And it looks like you somehow removed the top part of the pawn from its base for one of the white pieces!

And is that waxed cotton cord?

Those are so cool! I am a HUUUUGE game geek (all kinds of games), so jewelry made out of game pieces make me squee!

  13. They. Are. Awesome. And how wonderfully clever to attach the hand of Fatima (why do I even know its name when most of the time I can't remember my second name?) to the pendants!
This might just be your most beautiful, whimsical, striking piece of (blogged) jewellery yet. This is daft, but somehow I seem to expect a flying horse to pop up and carry the Sultan away! (this is where memory fails me as usual, what's the name of that 50ies film?) Mich, I love this idea to bits and chess- pieces!

  14. Oh, how pretty! Chess pawns. I would never have thought to put them bottom-to-bottom like that. (I have not a creative bone in my body; that's why I read blogs like yours! ;)
